Hi, I'm Joshua Watts.
I am currently a senior pursuing my BFA in Film/TV Production with a minor in VFX at the Savannah College of Art and Design. While interning at SCAD's LED Volume Stage over the past year, I’ve worked to sharpen my skills both as a filmmaker and in digital VFX, particularly using Unreal Engine. This combination allows me to effectively bridge the gap between film and VFX departments, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration throughout production. The senior VFX capstone I produced on the LED Volume premiered at Georgia Production Partnership's Film Week, Producers Guild of America event, as well as the 2026 Spotlight Showcase ATL.
I have also produced over 15 short films, indie & professional. Most recently, I worked as a production assistant for a film premiering at Festival De Cannes which has provided me with a solid understanding of multitasking in a media/entertainment environment. In addition to being the president of the Virtual Production club, through strong communication and leadership, I have established relationships with local studios and media companies such as Trilith Studios, Disguise, and Forms Studios, providing opportunities for students to learn in industry-standard settings.
I also enjoy writing for Film and Television, and have written several produced scripts, one of which was a finalist in the SCAD Atlanta 2025 Screenwriting Competition. As well as film, I also work on motion media/projection for live entertainment.
